With „Rebirth“, German-based Jazz musician & composer Johannes Arzberger tells the mesmerizing sci-fictional 13-track story of an abstract existence exploring a dystopian world, visually accompanied by captivating visual episodes.
The artistic language of the album—fluid, fragmented, intuitive—serves as the starting point for a creative idea that explores the natural cycle of life - a loop that is never identical, but always connected. Arstistically pending between playful Jazz, Hip-Hop, IDM & Trip-Hop, „Rebirth“ gained heavy recognition in the making and is funded by official German Initiative Musik.

Johannes Arzberger
Johannes Arzberger, a classically trained pianist from Oldenburg, Germany, made a name for himself by playing keys and composing for many of Germany’s top Hip-Hop artists and sharing the stage with the likes of Samy Deluxe, Jan Delay, Clueso, Chefket, Udo Lindenberg, Adel Tawil and more. He studied International Jazz in Groningen, Netherlands, and found first initial musical home in Hamburg soon after.
Nowadays, he likes to venture into notions of Ambient, IDM, and Urban Jazz when he is in his studio in Braunschweig, Germany. Experimenting with a mix of vintage synths & samplers, Eurorack modules, and any noisemaking tools of the trade he can get his hands on, he dives into an array of genre fluid soundscapes, textures and melodies. Extensive studies grounded in Jazz led the way to making „Rebirth“ an outstanding installation that defines Johannes Arzberger’s musical individuality and lends his very own landmark sound to the world of Instrumental music.
